A Summer With Hush Puppies | June
Haute with Hush Puppies is my slogan this summer.
Yesterday, I shared the beginning of my summer series featuring Hush Puppies shoes so I wanted to tell you a little bit about them. They have been around since 1958! Their focus is on creating products that are timeless, good quality, and comfortable...you had me at timeless.
Hush Puppies is now a global name that sells millions of shoes each year. They are one brand of Wolverine Worldwide which is based in Rockford, MI. Yas, Michigan yaaaaas (think Oprah voice...which fun fact: Oprah loves Hush Puppies)!
The shoes that Hush Puppies sent me for June are the Noely Discover heels. They are made from a yummy suede material and have a little chunky heel. My favorite part of their aesthetic are the dainty ties around the ankle. I really liked the tan color but they also come in a darker slate shade. Check out how I styled them with different outfits below!
DRESS IT UP
I thought the ankle strap ties were adorable with this simple dress. You could easily transition this outfit from the office to a night out. I love the ethereal spirit of a white dress; these heels were a great match because of the lace detailing on the chest. There are some shirts/dresses that don't need tons of accessories because they are a statement on their own or they have a unconventional neckline. These shoes are the perfect touch of flair for those 'stand-alone' items.
4th OF JULY OUTFIT PLANNING
I have actually worn this outfit to a summer evening BBQ. These shoes are the perfect way to bring something noteworthy to the party to allow your clothes to remain simple and comfortable. I always love a lighter blue + white moment; this chambray button-up with white ankle pants screamed summer to me. I added a few layering necklaces and left the top button undone for a more casual, dressed down look. Grab your picnic basket or tote bag and you're ready for whatever the 4th has in store for you!
BELL SLEEVES + BLUSH
Summer tis' not only the season for white pants...but also white shorts. They coordinate easily with a lot of different tops from a fun button up like the one above, to an easy tee that you can dress up/down. I paired mine with a blush, bell sleeve top with some embroidery detailing (oh and tassels because, duh). The Hush Puppies were a great addition vs. a pair of plain flip flops which can come off sloppy at times. The shoes bring a little formality to the outfit without leaving the casual, summery lane. My favorite straw hat and Sweet Frances sunnies were the perfect accessories for this "praise, it's freaking June" outfit.
Let me know which look is your favorite from the outfits this month. I can't wait to bring you a new pair of Hush Puppies in July.
Thanks to Hush Puppies for partnering with me for this fun series! Also-shout out to Tyler from Wendling & Boyd, Kristin from Kristin Jones, and Joanna from Carpe Corde for the photography. And, thanks Kherington from The Kierra Quinn for the great cheerleading. It takes a village y'all.
Sincerely,
Ashley
