Gal's Night. Finally.
A wine night…with friends? Take that 2020.
My friend Abby invited us over for a wine night out on her porch and it was just what the doctor ordered. More like, it was just what 2020 ordered. I think not being able to see people we love will continually be one of the hardest parts of quarantining and life afterwards. As humans, we crave and need connection with each other. It’s been fascinating to see the ways that we adapt while still reaching for these touch points with the people in our life. Book clubs over zoom. FaceTime wine calls. Visiting people through windows.
All that considered, a wine night with a few of my favorite people was an occasion that I welcomed back with open arms. Abby is an amazing cook and made a beautiful peach and plum galette and delicious dip (marinated tomatoes and goat cheese? yes please) paired with a fresh baguette. YUM. Grateful for these wonderful women that I get to do life with.
What have you been doing to maintain connection? How are you staying in touch with the people you love during these strange times?
Sincerely,
Ashley
