Acts of Kindness (Oh and Scarves)

Hello rooftop...

Random acts of kindness. Often so easy to do, but not something that we always take the time to carry out. Today when we were shooting some outfit pictures, a girl walked past carrying a bunch of groceries. Instead of just continuing to her apartment she stopped us to ask if we would be interested in taking photos on her building's rooftop. MIC DROP. I've been searching for a rooftop to take photos so I was nearly speechless by her kind offer.

She could have kept walking. She could have stayed focused on what she was involved in. Instead, she took the time to make our day. She said, "I saw you taking pictures and thought you might be interested...I had a birthday party up there and the pictures were super fun..."

Our kind hostess was a great reminder to perform random acts of kindness more often. Give the compliment, offer the connection, pay for the coffee.

As for my outfit: I love pairing a couple of basics together and then making it all come alive with a happy pop of color. They are the best accents for the canvas of a plain shirt. Who What Wear Collection at Target continues to be a staple for me. They make sophisticated, fun pieces that work for so many settings. When I saw this shirt I fell in love. Great fabric along with the cutest detail on the sleeve.
