Sincerely C U R R E N T L Y | Black Blazer
We are blazing back with more Sincerely Currently!
Excited to bring you the second round of Sincerely Currently. For this month, we decided to go with a black blazer. We threw around a few different ideas and figured this was a good option for the season we’re in and also something that a lot of gals would probably have in their closet already. This piece is a staple for both Kherington and myself when it comes to our own wardrobe. There’s nothing like finding a good black blazer…
Part of this series is to focus on how our styles differ, but also where they intersect. This edition of our series was a perfect example since we both showed up wearing blazers over graphic tees. Sometimes great minds wear outfits that are completely different and sometimes they really do think alike.
KHERINGTON
I would say that the black blazer is THE wardrobe must have for versatility alone. You instantly feel like a boss, like you can handle anything that comes your way! Adding a graphic tee says “I mean business, but I don’t take myself THAT seriously!
-Kherington
It’s no secret that Kherington always looks fabulous but I extra appreciated this outfit. I love that she brought such life to the standard black blazer with a Pizza Planet tee and pants with a racing stripe down the side. That ‘pop of life’ is something that I can always count on from her when it comes to fashion: timeless chic mixed with pieces that express her personality in the most delightful, unexpected ways.

ASHLEY
One of my favorite combos is a blazer with a graphic tee. I think it tames down the ‘corporate’ vibe that blazers can have. I love how my girl and I showed up both rocking this look…it’s an easy one that keeps your outfit relevant but still chic. Speaking of combos, another one of my favorite looks is a statement skirt with a graphic tee. So, this look was really doing the most and reaching for both of those looks that I enjoy.
I fell in love with the white/black color blocking of this skirt. I paired it with a tee from Old Navy that has the word love in different languages (y’all, it’s my favorite graphic tee AND it was $2 so I definitely bought two of them…totally worth it). Black patent booties, a mustard neck scarf, and the star of this installation of our series completed the look.
