The Skirt and Graphic Tee Formula
All about effortless summer outfits.
When we get to this point in the summer, ease is the name of the game. It’s been so crazy humid here, we are all busy just trying to keep our hair together so any efficiency when it comes to getting dressed is welcomed.
One of my favorite summer looks is a simple skirt with a graphic tee. It really is effortless, leans toward whichever look you are going for, and leaves you with endless options. Even though it’s a simple set up, it creates a canvas that allows you to play with neck scarves, layered necklaces, statement earrings, blazers, and shoe fun from tidy flats to frilly heels.
For this outfit and countless others, these J.Crew skirts are some of my favorites. I have them in a variety of colors and have gotten so much use out of them. They are above the knee (but not short), a punch of color if you’re looking for it (but also comes in every imaginable neutral), and transition well from season to season (score). The graphic tee is a clearance find from J.Crew. It’s a handsketch of an Old Fashioned with the cherry decked out in sequins…do graphic tees get better than that?
