Leopard Dress Meet Mint Coat
Winter outfit formulas at your service.
I’m back with another outfit from my whirlwind trip to Detroit. The weather while I was there was C O L D, but that just gave me a chance to wear a few of my favorite coats/hats/boots. I find that in the winter I often find myself reaching for a dress with a good coat. It’s easy, but the long layers make it dramatic (in the best way).
For this outfit, I wanted to brighten up the leopard print dress. I originally had a red coat to throw over top, but wanted to figure out a way to keep that jolt of color without having a loud print + loud color. I opted for this duster length mint pea coat from the Blair Eadie x Nordstrom collection. It’s years old at this point and still a favorite in the coat closet.
To add a bit more life to it, I added a mustard yellow velvet clutch and cheery beret. A neutral brown Western influenced boot brought out the brown tones in the dress. Coffee in hand after a stop at Madcap and I was ready to conquer the day.
