Cutest light tester this side of the Mississippi.

One of the most frequently asked questions that I get is who takes my photos. I’m lucky enough to have a couple friends who are fellow bloggers/photographers so we snap photos of each other and then walk them through our own editing process. I don’t take this for granted as I see how special it is to have friends who have similar interests and passions that we can share.

Aside from these talented folks, a lot of my photos are taken by Doug. I often say that he is the best cheerleader…and he is. He’s the most unabashed encourager of my dreams no matter how frivolous or real. Him taking on the role of cooperative photographer is proof of that.

Since he’s my photoshoot buddy, he’s become my official light tester. Because of this, I have endless photos of him pretend posing while I figure out lighting (see the madness below). Most of them are silly parodies of bloggers posing for photos. But, as I was flipping through them for this post, I realized they’re a visual of a way bigger thing. They’re a gallery of his sweet spirit-his willingness to participate in these shoots even after long days of work or on the weekend. Even in the smallest things, he carries the most enthusiastic, positive attitude towards me/my career that I’m humbled by.
